Ammonites and trilobites. Turnbuckles and rod connectors. Washboards and dobros? What are these objects? Also, what connection do they have to the 1920s South Arkansas oil boom? Come to the museum and discover the answers. With the curator, explore the Oil Park and the museum’s numerous galleries, such as the 1920s Boomtown Street, the geology section and the modern drilling area. Then indulge your creativity, as you experiment with hands-on projects and learn about the history and the science of the oil boom.
